The Go Fly project is a competition with the goal of fostering the development of safe, quiet, compact, personal VTOL devices capable of flying twenty miles while carrying a single person. The competition is divided into several phases, with phase I focusing on a design proposal submission and all subsequent phases focusing on building prototypes and improving on the original design.

SSPI

Each year since 2016, Space and Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) has partnered with SEDS to hold a satellite design competition. Students teams compete to design a satellite system for a particular application, presenting their solution in both a paper and a presentation. So far, Purdue SEDS has won back-to-back.

RASC-AL

Now in the second phase of the NASA-sponsored competition, Purdue's student RASC-AL team is hard at work developing an innovative new spacecraft concept. Dubbed MJOLNIR, this new design will transport a four-member crew to Mars while maintaining a constant gravity level to avoid bone and muscle atrophy.
